5 things to do in Paris:

1 Hotel Costes (for an Aperitif)
This is one of my favourite places to visit when in Paris. Just listening to the beats and sitting out on the Terrace with an aperitif. Its the best way to take in the feel of Paris. See also Beats from Hotel Costes.  May I suggest, the best of: Hotel Costes Best of

2 Galeries Lafayette (to shop)
The choice is phenomenol at the Galeries Lafayette, this glamorous department store with the stained glass rotunda in the main store is truly a site to see ranging from high street, to high luxe and some new designers. There are more than 20 places to eat while you shop from tea rooms to a roof top restaurant.

3  The Louvre Museum
Home to thousands of classic and modern masterpieces, the Louvre Museum is the jewel in the crown of French culture and where you will find some of the most finest artwork in the world. Try to spend 3 hours at the most here as there is so much to see in Paris and you definitely will not get through it all.

4 Bistrot du Peintre

This listed, art nouveau café-bistro has a gorgeous 1902 décor of sinuous woodwork and tiled, allegorical figures of spring and summer. It is much loved for its inexpensive cuisine. The choice goes from oeuf meurette (egg poached in red wine) and steak tartare.
