It all began in 1860 in the small village of Sonvilier, Switzerland. Here Louis-Ulysse Chopard, a talented young craftsman, established his workshop. By virtue of their precision and reliability, his watches quickly gained a solid reputation among enthusiasts and found buyers as far afield as Eastern Europe, Russia and Scandinavia.
In 1921, the founder’s son, Paul Louis Chopard, opened a branch in La Chaux-de-Fonds and then relocated the company headquarters there. In 1937, he moved the firm to Geneva, the capital of Haute Horlogerie, or Fine Watchmaking, thereby bringing it closer to its cosmopolitan clientele. In 1943, Paul André Chopard, grandson of Louis-Ulysse, took the helm. Shown here is the jewellery in the making; called the Red Carpet Collection….splendid.

On a recent trip to London I discovered the French brand label; Tila March. It was back in 2006 that the French fashion Editor, Tamara Taichman wanted a unique bag to see her through fashion weeks in New York, Paris and Milan. She sketched the design and asked her husband, Nicholas Berdugo, then Marketing Director at a prestigious leather goods brand, to make her a prototype. The Zelig tote was then born, a bag recognisable by its paper-clip shaped closure and its Parisian-chic style.
A few items I’m currently obsessing over right now: 1. Zoe Karssen T.Shirt 2. Paige Jeans 3. MCQ Alexander McQueen Jacket 4. Ray Ban Aviator Metal Sunglasses 5. Saint Laurent Clous De Paris Gold Plated Ring 6. Isabel Marant Boots Sebay Suede Ankle Boots 7. Givenchy Nightingale Medium Sugar in Elephant Grey
Featuring a candid Suki Waterhouse – raw, real and confident – sass & bide launches its SS13 digital campaign shot in NYC by Andrew de Francesco.
Set in a Brooklyn brownstone, the campaign give us a sneak peak into the world of the model, actress & artist. Styling herself in sass & bide’s latest SS13 collection, Suki appears light, eccentric and fun, blending a mixture of denim, ready-to-wear and gallery pieces.
Middleton continued, “We wanted Suki’s creativity to shine. In the behind-the-scenes images we’ve provided an insight into who Suki is as an artist, a photographer, a model. That was interesting to us”.
