Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel first launched her signature fragrance Chanel No5 in 1921. It was inspired by her greatest love affair with Boy Capel. From all the scents Chanel tried, it was the fifth one being Jasmin and floral fragrances that inspired the name. The design and shape of the bottle was based on some of the bottles Capel carried in his travel bag.
The inspiration behind the images was as if we were going back in time. A carefree woman who was passionate, creative and strong throughout her life, dedicating her time to her work until her last moments. This is the woman that the Chanel No5 Fragrance embodies and is a reminder to us all that you can be what ever you want and feel empowered just like Chanel.
