Endless Summer

Unpredictable weather be damned: things for the rainy, balmy, dog and somewhere-in-between London summer days.

An exhibition that celebrates a quintessentially British kind of ‘it’, 26 stars on the rise appear in Tatler’s English Roses at the Saatchi Gallery. Bringing to life the eponymous feature from Tatler’s August edition, the multimedia presentation features portraits by celebrated photographer David Burton, and exclusive behind the scenes footage (and an interactive disco booth!) 10 of the English Roses were photographed in pieces from the Fall 2017 Michael Kors Collection, including Ella Richards, Tess Ward, Aziya Aldridge-Moore, Renee Stewart and Clara McGregor – yes, daughter of Ewan. June 30 to July 2. August edition of Tatler available July 6

In the mid-20th Century, Cristóbal Balenciaga transformed the female silhouette. When you need to get out of the heat, head for the V&A and Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion, a comprehensive exhibition of work by the designer Christian Dior called ‘the master of us all’. Until February 2018

When the temperature goes up, so does pollution, so it’s good to know what you’re putting on your skin is clean as well as beautiful. Sister & Co. Skin Food, ticks all the boxes. Soften skin the right way this summer with their Apricot, Lemon and Vanilla Body Melt, a balm packed with cold-pressed raw apricot and almond oils, and infused with delicate Sicilian lemon and Madagascar vanilla. Nearly two thousand Rose gallica bushes were handpicked to create Jurlique’s Rose Hand Cream – Handpicked 2017. Grown in South Australia on Jurlique’s organic farm, the flowers weathered tough winter conditions, which made for a uniquely fragrant summer 2017 harvest, and a special limited edition cream. When it’s too hot for anything, Jurlique’s Rosewater Balancing Mist Intense Deluxe Edition 2017 is seriously refreshing – a perennial favourite. And from luxury organic lipstick people Axiology Beauty come new lip crayons. Made with only ten ingredients, the crayons come in six delicious shades, including Serene (burnished rosewood and brown sugar) and the summer-friendly Keen (caramelised grapefruit and the highlight of translucent watermelon).

Finally, when the days get shorter and thoughts turn to a winter break somewhere warm, there are the Resort collections to think about. At an event hosted by British Fashion Council CEO Caroline Rush, The Hoxton Collective launched pre-collections from seven British designers: Eudon Choi, Teija, Shrimps, Teatum Jones, Fyodor Golan, Phoebe English, and Rejina Pyo. Their summer 2017 collections are, of course, available now.
