Rain didn’t dampen spirits at the eighth Paspaley Polo in the City held on, Saturday 16th November, in Centennial Park.
Once again, the Paspaley VIP marquee took centre stage, this year dressed in signature yellow with New York style awnings and topiary hedges, and featuring a gallery of Paspaley pearl jewellery and glamorous Megan Hess illustrations. Cleverly recycled shipping containers were converted into a seafood bar serving Paspaley pearl meat canapés and oysters, a cocktail bar on the deck and the penthouse, where guests enjoyed a bird’s eye view of the polo action. Members of the Paspaley family – Clare Paspaley, Chris Paspaley, Christine Salter, Michael and Peter Bracher – were joined by VIP guests including Grace Huang, James Tobin, Scott and Alina Barlow, Kirstie Clements, Angela Bishop, Eva Galambos, Samantha Armytage, Charles and Ellie Aitken and Hoda Waterhouse.
The Paspaley Polo in the City series is a highlight on the social calendar, showcasing Australia’s top professional polo players to a glamorous crowd nation-wide. First held in Centennial Park in 2006, Paspaley Polo in the City has grown into a major national sporting series now played in five capital cities. Paspaley is the longstanding principal sponsor of the series and the Paspaley marquee has introduced a new level of relaxed glamour to the polo.
